Three Inputs Including DisplayPort

Connect with up to three PCs via the monitor's D-Sub (analog), DVI-D (digital), and DisplayPort (digital) input terminals. DisplayPort is next-generation connectivity that transmits both video and audio signals.

Six Preset Modes Including "EyeCare"

For optimum viewing of different kinds of content,Text, Movie, Picture, sRGB, Custom, and EyeCare preset modes are included. Available for the first time, "EyeCare" mode lowers brightness to a mere 3 cd/m². This mode helps prevent eye fatigue in an environment with little or no lighting.

An Auto EcoView sensor on the front of the monitor measures ambient light and optimizes the screen's brightness to levels akin to viewing a sheet of paper under typical office lighting conditions. Since the screen is never too bright, eye strain is reduced while power consumption is cut by up to 43% compared to operating the monitor with Auto EcoView turned off and set to the default factory brightness of 100%.

Zero Watts When Turned Off

When the monitor’s power save mode and off timer function are set, it consumes less than 1.5 watts of power, and when turned off via the main power switch, it consumes no electricity at all.

To encourage environmental consciousness while working, a user-activated gauge called "EcoView Index" indicates energy consumption in correlation with the screen’s brightness. When EcoView Index is fully illuminated, the monitor is operating at optimum energy efficiency.

Wide Color Gamut

Color reproduction area The monitor reproduces 96% of the Adobe RGB color space. This means it can display most colors of a photograph taken in a camera's Adobe RGB mode including many shades of cyan and emerald green that fall outside the color gamut of typical sRGB monitors.

Placement Flexibility

Height adjustable and EzUp stands offer height adjustment, tilt, swivel, and portrait mode viewing. For installations that require frequent rearrangement of equipment, a quick mount attachment option allows the monitor to be quickly and easily mounted and dismounted with the pull of a lever.

Unobtrusive Speakers

Unobtrusive Speakers 0.5 watt speakers are hidden within the monitor cabinet, so you can enjoy sound while bezel size is kept to a minimum. If you require greater volume, the separate i-Sound L3 sound unit with dual 0.9 watt speakers can be attached to the bottom of the monitor.

Improved Work Efficiency, Reduced Visual Fatigue

EIZO conducted a survey (see white paper) in 2008 to establish the relationship between eye fatigue and monitor use. The results showed that features like Auto EcoView, ergonomic stands, and the EyeCare utility helped reduce eye fatigue and improved work efficiency by 12.5%.

EyeCare Reminder EIZO’s new EyeCare utility prompts workers to take scheduled breaks, thereby promoting healthier work habits and preventing eye fatigue caused by prolonged monitor use.

DVI Input Level Adjustment

The monitor compensates for image quality degradation that may occur when connecting to a signal switch box or to a PC via a long cable.

Individual Adjustment of Gamma

For better image consistency in multi-monitor environments, EIZO adjusts the gamma at the factory.

Simple Color Matching with EIZO EasyPIX

The optional EIZO EasyPIX color matching tool is ideal for digital SLR camera users looking to match colors between their monitors and photo prints. With the EasyPIX software you can match the monitor’s color and brightness with that of the photo paper and then create a monitor profile with the bundled EX1 color sensor. No expertise in color management is required and the profile can be shared with image retouching software to ensure accurate results when printing.

Commitment to Quality

While outsourcing production is now common practice in the monitor industry, EIZO continues to manufacture its products the same way it has throughout its 40 year history - with its own staff at its own factories. This allows EIZO to keep close control over production quality and offer the industry’s only 5-year manufacturer’s limited warranty.

Customer Assurance

A five-year warranty offers a long service life, and compliance with leading industry standards such as TCO’03 and TÜV Ergonomics ensures a better working environment. The EIZO Eco Products 2009 label sets strict internal requirements for manufacturing and packaging, stipulates that the monitor must not consume any power when turned off, and requires that its eco declaration is available on the EIZO web site.

Warranty Information

EIZO OCEANIA, as the exclusive distributor of EIZO products in Australia and New Zealand, offers the following warranty conditions in Australia from 1 May 2009 until further notice.

Warranty Level A: ColorEdge Series Warranty Level B: Flexscan Series

Warranty Terms and Conditions
Level A and Level B products shall be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of five (5) years from date of purchase, but subject to the usage time being 30,000 hours or less.

The manufacturer strongly recommends the monitor backlight be automatically turned off during downtime (refer PC display properties). The backlight is guaranteed to remain operational for the warranty period, non-specific to brightness level. Historical data shows backlight brightness will be maintained past the 5 year warranty period if the monitor is kept within 80-120c/dm2 ÛÒ recommended range for colour graphics use.

Uniformity warranty applies to ColorEdge CG models featuring DUE (digital uniformity equalization) technology only, and can not be applied to other models. Uniformity warranty is limited to 12 months from date of purchase or 10,000 hours (whichever comes first), and shall be honoured for a babel test variance of more than 10%. Eizo Oceania determination on any warranty claim is final.

DOA period ÛÒ 14 days, or 100 operating hours. Claims within the DOA period will be gladly met with full new monitor replacement regardless of model.

Warranty and End-of-Life Logistics
Warranty service level differs by model. Please consult applicable models above.

Warranty Level A models are premium products therefore protected by premium cover. In the event of failure in warranty, a replacement will be despatched. The replacement monitor will arrive without an accessories kit. Please use existing accessories to connect the new monitor and repack failed unit in that packaging. The box will contain for your convenience a return consignment note.
Please contact EIZO Oceania for advice regarding responsible End-of-Life disposal.

Warranty Level B models are protected by a local return to base warranty. In the event of failure in warranty, it is the responsibility of the claimant to securely wrap and package the failed monitor and return to the Eizo Oceania in St.Leonards NSW. Upon completion of repair, the monitor will be returned at no cost. Please contact EIZO Oceania for advice regarding responsible End-of-Life disposal.
